Osteopathy in Gynecology

Understanding and Treating Uterine Congestion

Uterine Congestion is a very common gynecological condition, which is really important to recognize and treat. It can be one of the main causes of problems such as dysmenorrhea, menorrhagia, fibroids and endometriosis. Classical Osteopathy clearly recognizes this; however, it is something that is not discussed in Western Medicine! This Webinar will include a look at the uterus, its nerve centers and their relationship with the concept of vasomotion. We will analyze the relationship between Uterine Congestion and common patterns of pelvic and low back injury. This way, we will have a clear idea of how to treat patients with this condition.

Respiratory System - Case Study

Part 2

“Using physiology to master pathology” was a phrase by J. M. Littlejohn to describe how osteopathic treatment actually resolves pathological conditions. Using film footage of a young woman treated for pneumonia as a classroom demonstration, this talk will serve to illustrate how osteopathy enhances and enhances the body’s inherent healing mechanisms.

Food supplementation and herbal medicine as a "weapon" for pain and inflammation.

Which shows us the most recent evidence in the neuro-musculo-skeletal condition.

The role of osteopathy in acute or chronic cases is (among others) to reduce pain and inflammation, stimulating healing and tissue repair. According to Ordinance No. 207-B/2014, the osteopath must be able to “provide information to users and the public with a view to promoting health and preventing diseases, namely through advice on correct postures, physical exercise and eating habits”.

Nutritional deficiencies can have a strong correlation with musculoskeletal pain and an anti-inflammatory diet can be the first and biggest step towards improving our ability to regenerate and recover. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are widely used in medicine as a treatment for practically all musculoskeletal disorders, but other therapeutic approaches, such as dietary supplementation, can be advised by osteopaths as a way of complementing this entire recovery process.

Mensagem do Director

O Diretor,
Marco Silvestre
